The 134 West Is Your Friend
Pasadena to Patar is one of the easiest food drives in the area: get on the 134 West, get off in Glendale, and you're at 625 E Colorado St in about fifteen minutes — often less at night, when the freeway is empty and you're hungry enough to notice. Rose Bowl event letting out? Let the parking lot chaos sort itself out while you eat a wrap two cities over. Caltech problem set finally submitted at 1 AM? You have a full hour before we close, which is more margin than most proofs get.
Street and lot parking sit right near the shop, so the last hundred feet of the trip are as easy as the freeway part. And there's a nice symmetry to the route: you leave Colorado Blvd in Pasadena and arrive on Colorado St in Glendale. Same name, different city, much better garlic situation at our end.
What's Waiting at the End of the Drive
Meat stacked and seasoned in-house, carved off the spit the moment you order — you get the crisp outside layer, not slices that have been sitting. The toum is the thing people drive for: real garlic sauce, made here, sharp and silky in a way bottled stuff never manages. Pasadena has plenty of good restaurants; what it's short on after midnight is anything like this. Old Town's bars will happily keep you out late and then leave you to fend for yourself — consider us the fending.
