Black box theaters don't have concession stands, and the curtain in the NoHo Arts District rarely falls before ten. Good news: Patar Shawarma is fifteen minutes east via the 134, and our kitchen takes its bow at 2 AM.
The Second Act Is in Glendale
Here's how a NoHo night usually goes: the show ends, everyone stands around on Lankershim deciding where to eat, and by the time the group agrees, half the options have closed. Skip the committee. Take the 134 East — or the 101 to the 134 if you're at the south end of the Arts District — and in about fifteen minutes you're at 625 E Colorado St in Glendale, where the spit is still loaded and the answer to "are you still serving?" is yes until 2 AM.
Actors, stagehands, the audience, the bartender who closed out your tab — late-night Glendale doesn't ask what you do. It asks chicken or beef, and whether you want extra toum. (You want extra toum. It's whipped in-house and it's the best thing we make that isn't meat.) Post-show debriefs go better over a shared plate anyway; bring the whole row.
Carved to Order, Easy to Get To
Everything on the spit is seasoned and stacked by us, and carved only when your order comes in — that's why the edges are crisp and the inside stays juicy. It's a fifteen-minute drive that eats like something you'd cross town for, and at midnight the 134 is so empty it barely counts as a commute. Cast dinners after closing night have happened at our counter more than once; ten hungry people and a loaded spit get along famously.
Parking is the easy kind: street spots on and around Colorado St plus a lot near the building. And when the drive over the hill isn't happening, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub all deliver into most of North Hollywood.
